I know there's probably a few mobile users here, but this a music appreciation thread for lesser known artists.

I've been collecting music for decades and decided to share some of it with you (albeit through youtube and bandcamp links)

First up is a track by a UK artist whom I've got a massive appreciation for. Spent hours daydreaming to his music.

This is a bit of a winter warmer for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere and a bit of a beer on the deck at sunset track for those of us in the Southern.

Genre hopping to follow :)

That was different from what I'd normally listen to, but I still enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing! I look forward to hearing what else you share. :)

Awesome. I haven't heard much like that before. Very relaxing. :-)

Here's a catchy song (don't mind the video) by an independent artist who is multi-talented & very dedicated. He also happens to be my spouse's former student, and... same first name as my oldest son. XD All biases aside it's an upbeat and original piece. 8-)

Real nice piano in that track, you'll probably think I'm a bit weird when I say I'm not really into singing, but enjoyed it all the same. Very musical for a pop song, guy got talent.

This is a Belgium producer who takes popular songs from the 40s/50s and gives them a modern twist. Interesting artist to listen to as each track is quite different.

If enjoyed, here's a link to the guys bandcamp page. All music is name your price, so it's free if you want it!

Australian post-rock band, slow build up, then funky as, gets a bit heavier towards the end but it makes sense. The track name says it all, great slow wake-me-up track I like to listen to in the pre-dawn dark on the way to check the surf. Amazing poly-rhythms in the drumming.

A tad slow for me. I like my rock t be much faster. ;-)

Here's one of my faves lately, also has a great video.

Something a bit more conventional; really chill Norwegian group with some singing :))

Way cool, I recommend Robert Miles for any that has not heard of him. Great Techno.

Robert Miles - Children was a great tune so here's a link to it!

Here's another track from the same trance era. A Welsh group featuring the Russian Symphonic Orchestra so no cheesey synths! They have also done music for film, like the Denzel Washington film 'Man on Fire'. You'll get a taste for their cinematic style with this track.

Nostalgia *wup*

Quote: Kevin21i like ethnic/world music and reggae.

Not quite ethnic but what I was in the mood for (peter gabriels record label)
Some british electro reggae I'm fond of
And here is a genius combination of the two

The lightest track from the album but the drumming in the second half of the song is pretty special
Some of my favorite Swedish jazz

Hey, do you have anything on that Juke Box to chase away the winter chills? It hasn't been too bad where I live but I'm recovering from a cold and could use some warm tunes to cheer me up.
